His professional career spans more than 19 years of legal practice and combines experience in law enforcement, private legal practice, and academia. This unique combination enables him to integrate a practical understanding of criminal proceedings with strong theoretical and strategic expertise.

A significant part of Vitalii’s professional career was dedicated to service with the National Police of Ukraine, where he progressed from investigator to head of an investigative unit. His experience in senior law enforcement positions has provided him with an in-depth understanding of pre-trial investigations, investigative procedures, and the internal mechanisms of the law enforcement system — expertise that is critical to developing effective defence strategies.

Since 2017, Vitalii Chumak has been practising as a defence attorney, specialising in comprehensive representation of corporate executives, private individuals, and businesses facing criminal investigations and prosecution. His approach goes beyond responding to legal risks once they arise: it focuses on identifying potential threats at an early stage, detecting procedural violations, assessing investigative strategies, and developing proactive defence solutions.
