Vadym Shtepura’s expertise goes beyond extensive professional experience. It represents a systematic approach to management, control, and asset protection. More than 25 years in senior positions within the public sector have enabled him to operate at a level where strategic decisions affect not merely individual processes, but entire industries.

More than 18 years of his professional career were associated with the State Property Fund of Ukraine, where he led key areas ranging from audit and financial control to the management of state-owned corporate rights. His responsibilities covered more than 300 joint-stock companies, including nationally significant strategic enterprises such as Ukrtelecom JSC, Turboatom JSC, and Odesa Port Plant JSC.

His expertise is further demonstrated by his participation in comprehensive audits and inspections of state-owned enterprises and business entities conducted pursuant to decisions of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine — assignments requiring the highest standards of analysis, accuracy, and professional responsibility.

At the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority, Vadym held key management positions, including Head of the Internal Audit Department. The department operated in accordance with the international standards of The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and reported to an independent supervisory board comprising international experts. In this role, he was responsible for comprehensive financial oversight across Ukraine’s seaport system, implementing approaches focused on transparency, operational efficiency, accountability, and compliance with international standards.

Vadym also has extensive experience serving on the supervisory boards of major state-owned enterprises, providing him with an in-depth understanding of corporate governance mechanisms at the strategic level.

Another important area of his professional contribution has been his involvement in the development of Ukraine’s national accounting standards, particularly those governing the accounting treatment of property, plant and equipment, contributing to the foundations of modern financial reporting practices in Ukraine.

Today, Vadym Shtepura applies international best practices in internal audit, risk management, financial control, and corporate governance, helping protect the interests of businesses and senior management. His ability to combine technical precision with a strong understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks enables him to identify risks at an early stage and build resilient and effective control systems.

His professional standing is further supported by relevant professional certifications and membership in the Institute of Internal Auditors of Ukraine (IIA Ukraine), which forms part of the global network of The Institute of Internal Auditors (USA).
