6th Conference on Energy Law

Today, the energy sector is not just about rebuilding infrastructure. It’s about the law, investments, and swift decisions.

ETERNIX attorneys participated in the 6th Energy Law Conference, which brought together representatives from the government, the business community, and the legal profession to discuss key challenges and prospects for the development of Ukraine’s energy sector.

One of the key highlights of the event was a panel discussion featuring the First Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine. Participants discussed priorities for rebuilding Ukraine’s energy system, developing new generation capacity in energy-deficient regions, innovative approaches to implementing energy projects, and cooperation with international partners and potential investors.

Particular attention was given to issues that are critical for businesses today: simplifying market entry, access to financing, power offtake arrangements, war-risk insurance mechanisms, and adapting the regulatory framework to the realities of wartime.

Ukraine is effectively shaping a new model for implementing energy projects — one that is fast, flexible, and focused on efficient decision-making. This requires not only technical solutions, but also sophisticated legal frameworks that enable strategically important projects to move forward even under wartime conditions.
